We started with one and now we have 3 for our children who are 2, 4 and 6yo. Our children love pulling their luggage and when we need them to move quickly they get on for a ride. I also connect the luggage’s to make a train (see picture attached, I couldn’t upload the video) when I need an extra hand. Now that my youngest is a little older, I connect her to the train too. They love it!

It’s entertaining during layovers and brilliant during flights. The children love getting all set up in their spaces and I don’t have to worry about their toys falling down the sides or cracks. Fortunately, we have not ever been asked to pack it down during turbulence.

We also have the backpacks, Marino wool blankets (so soft) and CloudSleepers for each child. The children love the novelty is sleeping on the beds. I’m a huge fan of JetKids, they are thoughtful with their designs which makes for a wonderful user experience. And their customer service is amazing!

My only wish is for JetKids to make fitted 100% cotton sheets for the CloudSleeper read less

We have used these two items for sleep and travel, to help our child feel secure and cozy in a larger bed surface as well as giving extra padding when the rest of us are in sleeping bags on the floor. We wanted to find a similar item that would work as our children grew, and be easier to transport for sleepovers, travel, or nights when a child isn’t feeling well and would prefer to sleep in an adult’s or sibling’s bedroom. We own a Stokke Tripp Trapp and I have been watching the JetKids products for some time, but we hadn’t been traveling as much due to COVID. I wanted some time to research and decide.

Why should you purchase the CloudSleeper, and not a simple air mattress available at a big box store?

We own a few big box air mattresses. They’re heavy, rubbery, loud, and never hold air for long. They’re hard to fold once used, don’t travel well, and it can be frustrating to purchase one and realize you don’t have a way to inflate it. They also often lack bumpers, need sheets, and are large!

The CloudSleeper is totally different, and that’s why I chose to spend the money on it. It’s easy to inflate - I actually set a stopwatch, and took me under 2 minutes to fully inflate the CloudSleeper. You can use your foot or your hands, but you should do it on a firm and flat surface, like a floor or table. I began inflating on my bed and had to move to the floor. The CloudSleeper’s travel bag as well as the CloudSleeper’s floor-facing surface have clear directions for inflation and deflation. The floor-facing surface also has numbered marks that give clear sequential instructions on how to fold so that you fold the same way, every time, and you can fit the folded CloudSleeper easily inside the travel bag. The inflation and deflation valves are separate, and the deflation valve is a two-part valve. I kept our CloudSleeper inflated overnight and did not notice any air leaking, which was good news - you never want to wake up on the floor with a deflated mattress! The sleeping surface of the CloudSleeper is mesh and doesn’t need a sheet, which is good because it is larger than a crib sheet but smaller than a twin size sheet. The mesh helps with airflow and that sticky-sweaty feeling of sleeping on an air mattress. The bumpers on the CloudSleeper keep your sleeper from rolling off the surface in their sleep, and helps them feel cozy. The top and bottom are open-ended. I weigh much less than the weight limit of 150 pounds, so I climbed on the CloudSleeper to see how it felt. It was comfortable! I was able to turn with ease, and I remained comfortable, but it was a little more difficult to roll off the surface. My legs hung off the open end of the CloudSleeper but I did not find it uncomfortable or painful. I could definitely see sleeping on this surface in a pinch! When I decided to deflate and fold it, it was easy to do that and stow it inside the travel bag. The instructions for use, inflation, deflation, and washing were easy to read. The travel bag was durable and had two handles. It would be easy to store in a duffel, suitcase, backpack, or somewhere accessible in a car.

I think that the CloudSleeper is a great option for travel, especially for younger or smaller children. It is a good alternative to the much heavier DockATot, and also takes up less space in one’s luggage. On our next trip, I plan on bringing our CloudSleeper with us, and using our DAT travel bag to hold our pillows and other soft items - leaving our DAT at home!

I wanted to write a thorough review for others because this is not a common product, and I personally thought and researched for some time before choosing to purchase. I thought, “What questions do I still have?” and tried to answer them for you. I feel that the price of the item is appropriate considering the features, quality, and comparable products. If you have the means and desire to purchase a travel-friendly sleep surface for your child (or if you happen to be petite and want something for yourself!), this is a product I really like and know I will use.

I wrote this review a year ago and had issues posting it to Amazon, so I kept it in my Notes and just found it. A year later, all of these things are still true. It’s been a lifesaver for travel, for nights with sick kiddos, for sleepovers. I’m still really glad we bought it! read less

After sales support is also top notch, Rose from the JetKids team was very responsive after I shared my concern on the Crew BackPack as I thought they can use it as a product design improvement. The part/stitching that holds the drawstring completely broke despite my attempt to be very careful when securing the bag.

Rose was very quick to respond and even offered to replace the damaged bag with a new one. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with an all improved version of the Crew BackPack, they replaced the drawstring with a zipper. It is so practical and adds a layer of security on the bag. Thank you, Rose and JetKids team!
